My Theta Story
You may know me as my old identity: Rachel Lynn - the recording artist. At the time, I had a large discography, had toured worldwide and had built a full-time professional music career for myself. Nonetheless, it didn't feel like "enough" and so two years ago, I energetically called EVERYTHING I'VE EVER WANTED into my life...all. at. once.
And the Universe/God answered.
What I didn't know, however, is that everything I'd ever wanted would be by way of a cancer diagnosis, anxiety disorder, PTSD and a recalling of primordial traumas who's visceral reaction in my emotional body would explain why I had always "felt that way."
At the time, it felt like I was not even lucky enough to be "walking" through hell...it felt more like I was "stuck" in hell. I remember days where the only relief I had was becoming so exhausted mentally, emotionally and physically that my body finally gave out and fell asleep. It was during sleep that my mind could reset itself and I prayed to have just a few seconds in the morning of conscious peace before the nightmare of what "was" would return.
So what I'm saying is - I UNDERSTAND.
Today, I am living in the Northwest - soaking up the fresh air, loving a slower-paced life, mastering my feelings, investing in my future, living my purpose, being 100% authentically me, deeply loving myself, growing, adventuring, being in love with my eternal lover, exploring, being in the moment and working through triggers in my relationships as they come instead of running in the other direction.
I no longer live under the false idea that "life will be perfect if/when..."
Instead, I understand that I chose to be here in this life and in this moment: obstacles and all. So, now understanding that - how, can I create a better experience of it? That was the key.
Theta Healing healed my life in so many ways. It is an eternal healing that can be pulled through space and time to effect all lives (past, present and future) as well as all genetic lines (past, present and future) that choose to receive. Theta gave me the tools to use my "Inner Being" and the Creator of All Things as my resource so that when I'm emotionally triggered I can heal the underlying source (the original trauma) most often within the context of one session.
It also gave me the courage, confidence and strength to face my fears, anxieties and worries head on. Theta can "unmock" circumstances and events that we have been conditioned (over thousands of years) to associate with loss of life and loss of love and reprogram the mind to see them not only as unthreatening...but, potentially advantageous. Unbelievable - I know. But, it's possible.
Theta can take the "botherability breath" out of what we had most "loved to hate" for so long and neutralize our reactivity to it, 100%. When we are no longer "bothered" by something - then it ceases it's need to be continually experienced. And even if that thing did continue - we would no longer be bothered by it anyway!
As spirits we are excited to experience the entire spectrum of human emotion and it doesn't matter to us which way we go on that spectrum. We just like the experience of "feeling" and having those feelings feel REAL. So, in a world that indoctrinates us to do what we "have" to do instead of what we are "wanting" to do - is it that big of a surprise that the majority of what we had been creating in order to appease our spirit's emotional experiential desires - was on the low end of the spectrum?
What if we reprogrammed ourselves to feel "safe" feeling our deepest emotions the moment they arose so that our spirits wouldn't continually need to create more and more grandiose drama as a catalyst for a more intense emotional experience? What if we reprogrammed ourselves to know that it is okay feeling depressed, jealous, angry, lost, frustrated, alone, revengeful, deceived, hurt, panicked, anxious, fearful and on and on? If we no longer resisted those feelings or associated them with grand trauma how interesting (or even fun) would it be to experience them?
This is now my world. And I have been experimenting on myself - to see how far we can reprogram in order to feel fundamentally and foundationally happy REGARDLESS of circumstances OR feelings. "Happy and content" is now my default. And it doesn't mean "a euphoric feeling that disconnects me from humankind." In fact, this kind of "happy" actually CONNECTS me to others more - because I no longer fear the effect that others have on me and I ALLOW myself to feel ALL feelings. Because of this, I now have an even deeper sense of compassion and allowing for others to live and experience their lives as they so choose.
So how long did this take? Well, it's still happening! That is why I am realistic with my clients as far as the timeline for their healing journey. Before I became a Theta Healer myself, I was receiving two sessions per week from my teacher. Very soon after we started - she encouraged me to take a class and learn the practice myself. I too have ZERO intention of having life-long clients. Consider the work we do together as a "kick-start" to your healing journey. And I will encourage you to "seek within" and either find or create a healing modality that works for you so that you feel empowered to be the lead in your healing journey henceforth.
To conclude, my mantra now is no longer "life gets better and better"...but, instead: "life FEELS better and better." That way I am ultimately in control of my life (because I can shift how I perceive it and therefor how I feel about it - without needing to control the uncontrollable, i.e.: circumstances and other people).
I feel that life is fundamentally good. And if it doesn't feel that way to you - that is VALID.

The ThetaHealing technique was created by Vianna Stibal in 1995 during her own personal journey back to health and after she healed from a 9-in tumor her leg.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Stage One: Preparation
All Theta Sessions are experienced remotely (via phone). For this reason it's ideal if you are able to acquire a headset or other hands-free device for your phone so that your arm doesn't tire, you can relax, and your hands are free for muscle testing.
It's also helpful (and optional) to begin a "botherability" journal to assist in targeting cyclical emotional triggers for you - include:
- what triggered you (ie: "I didn't get invited to a co-workers party.")
- how you felt (ie: angry, hurt, left out, alone, isolated, abandoned)
- what you are making it mean about you (ie: "I'm not enough," "I'm too much," "I am unlikeable")
- any belief systems that may come up (ie: "everyone is against me," "I can't make friends," "I don't belong here.")
Lastly, please watch this Youtube video on "how to muscle test" and become reasonably acquainted with the process. Rachel will coach you individually during your sessions in order to gain the most accurate answers. If you're having trouble - that is OKAY. It's only necessary for you to have an idea of the process - not perfect it. Plan, ahead of time, to be in a private space for your session - without any distraction and where you are able to stand easily (i.e.: not in the car) in order to muscle test.

Stage Two: During Your Session
In your first session you'll begin with a non-judgmental, compassionate and open casual chat with Rachel in order to discover that which is wanting to heal the most in your emotional body. You’ll then be coached more on how to muscle test yourself and begin muscle testing a list of initial screening questions that will help the practitioner target any foreign energies and core beliefs that may have been negatively affecting your own energetic field and experience of life. After this initial process, you and the practitioner are free to explore the most bothersome issues on your heart (the absence of which would make a world of difference for you).
Once "what is needing to be healed" is discovered, Rachel will go into Theta prayer/meditation. This is a time where you can relax, sit or lay down, close your eyes and do nothing! This portion of the session usually lasts from 35 minutes to an hour depending on the complexity of the healing. You’ll hear Rachel deep breathing at times, praying (commanding), vocalizing or she may engage you if she feels the need to. It’s important to understand that your spirit is guiding the healing. Your spirit is calling Source Energy/God/The Creator to unleash it’s full potential and realize your life’s purpose and desired expansion. That being said, it is you that is in control. Rachel, is simply channeling The Creator (who is receiving your soul’s calling). Regardless, if you should ever feel uncomfortable simply let Rachel know and she will compassionately guide you in another direction. It’s all a part of the journey!
It is often wondered whether you’ll feel physical sensations during the session. The "more sensitive" clients may recognize energetic shifts and the release of resistance and feelings previously attached to trauma. Others may not “feel” anything at all during the session. Be encouraged that all has taken place accordingly (regardless of physical sensations).
After the Theta Healing you’ll be guided to muscle test the same triggers that were targeted in the prayer in order to get a solid feeling of what was “cleared." More often than not the session releases the “core belief” and therefor causes other related beliefs (of which the core belief supported) to also clear. In the case that there are a few “stragglers” Rachel will ask The Creator to be guided in what to do next.
Your session will end with a loving reminder of both what to expect and how to self-care directly after, and in the days to follow, your session.
Stage Three: Following Your Session
Theta Healing is indeed an expedited healing process. Think of it as “gastric bypass surgery” for the soul, emotional body and psyche. One doesn’t step out of surgery (once the drugs wear off) and feel amazing. They go through a secondary process of “recovery” where there body has the time to shift into the new changes. For this reason Rachel has offered the following guidance:
After your session make sure to hydrate with lots of fluids and “take it easy.” It is assumed that taking it easy means one must physically rest and relax. But, what is meant in this context is for one to give the soul a break. That means be conscious of what your emotional body is needing and follow your emotional guidance system. If you already do inner child work or participate in any heart-centered practice - this will come naturally to you. If not, simply ask Rachel to be guided in how this is done. It is possible to “take it easy” and go to work, the gym, socialize or whatever you’re feeling like doing as long as you’re consistently checking in with your emotional guidance system and following it’s nudges.
The healing process for any healing modality is a journey; It’s not a one-and-done process.
In the days and weeks following your session you may find consciousness that something has shifted "without explanation.” You may also feel “ungrounded” at times, have a “melt down” or have a feeling of “euphoria” or a feeling “as if something has lifted off of you.” In any case - it is all perfection. The ungrounded feeling and meltdowns usually come from a sense of “loss of identity.” When we release old belief systems that no longer serve us and download new ones we are indeed shifting this aspect of self. Identity is directly attached to belief systems. For instance, if we clear childhood trauma that took place with our parents, and download the possibility that we know what it feels like to have a positive childhood experience, we are left asking ourselves, “Who am I now that I am no longer a victim of childhood trauma? How do I now step into the identity of a person that has loving parents?”
Again, this is all a part of the process and Rachel will either guide you via text or email (post session) on how to move through those emotions on your own OR you have the option of booking another session in order to expedite the process. Not everyone experiences the above - but, it’s important that you are prepared emotionally to give yourself whatever grace, space, patience and relief that you are needing.
